  I have been raised in the church my whole life. My mother was Catholic and my father was Baptist. After becoming an adult and choosing to find a relationship with the Lord myself, I found a non-denominational church that I attended for about ten years. Due to divorce, I was forced to find a new church. After two years of looking, I was introduced to Awaken Life Church. And what a BLESSING this church has been in my life. I was welcomed with open arms!!! I was broken, completely lost and near spiritual death!!! I have two children and the guilt and shame of divorce was eaten no me alive. Pastor Daniel and Pastor Joy listened to me, let me cry every service for almost two months, prayed for me, held me!!!!!! As I'm typing this, such an overwhelming amount of gratefulness and joy comes over me because I can say that I am healed of a broken heart. Only Jesus Christ can do that! But, through this church and it's amazing people, judgements and egos are checked at the door. No one is better than the other in this church. No one is more loved than the other. No one is more precious to Gods sight than you! Come and learn what God thinks your value is!!! Do t get dressed up, you don't likely even need your shoes (ask me about this in person).   Awaken Life Church is amazing! Pastors Daniel and Joy create an amazing atmosphere where everyone can encounter Jesus just as they are. If you need a breakthrough, healing, or just need to be loved - this is the place!

  Love Pastors Daniel and Joy! And, they truly love the Lord. I highly recommend this church to anyone who wishes to experience a Faith Based, Biblically backed, Christ Centered, Soul Winning Church.

  I am very sad to have to write this, but it is best to let folks know the truth about what is going with the "Pastors" of this church. I didn't fully understand at the time why aprox. 75% of the church has left in the past couple months, but now I know at least part of the truth. This is less of a church, and more of a cult. There is an ugly controlling spirit that has the 2 "Pastors" of the church believing, teaching, and forcing on folks, the wrong belief that "they" are the head of the church, and they are the go between between you and God. (Jesus is the head of the Church, not ANY man, and the Holy Spirit lives in EACH Believer personally). From the pulpit Pastor Joy states openly and often that ANY Word you hear from the Lord, MUSt go thru them first....as they wrongly believe that they are the only one who hears from God, or at least can be trusted to hear from the Lord correctly. They called me into a private meeting to talk about 2 other folks (who weren't there, so it was without their knowledge and completely behind their backs), and told me I HAD to stop praying with them and teaching them the things of God. They said they were the ONLY ones who could have any contact with them in any way and everything HAD to be from them and by them ie: all teaching, ministry, prayer, etc. When I said NO, the "Pastors" then went to the 2 folks personally and told them the same thing...but they said "NO", they would not "obey" that inappropriate and very disturbing demand. "Pastor Daniel and Joy" (husband and wife working as one) are running this church with no other opinions allowed, no real elders or anyone to stop or question what they are doing (completely un-biblical). They want full control of your relationship and growth with the Lord....Then they told me that I should get their permission before I do anything outside of "their" church!! Another couple who left said they left due to their controlling spirit as well, and when they tried to talk to "Pastor Daniel" about it, they were denied the ability to even state their views and opinion, but were just "told" what "Pastor Daniel and Joy" wanted and what Would happen in "their" church. SO...what they demand is that you attend all services, that you do not go to any other ministry, and you have to get their permission and approval before you do anything.....because they want full control of what you learn and what you do. This is disturbing and wrong.
  A Pastor is a teacher and helper.....not someone who "lords" over you, controls you, or demands things of you. Multiple Elders (mature in the Lord) believers run the church by the guidance of the Holy Spirit...it is not a dictatorship.
  God bless all who read this, and I pray you find a Holy Spirit filled church that puts Jesus as the head, and that allows your growth and relationship with Him to be one of FREEDOM.
  (it now appears that some of their close friends are now the "elders" of the church, as all the mature Christians left the church months ago)
