  There is nothing like a child who is excited to go to school. My daughter is always asking when she gets to go to school next. The teachers share themes and calendars of events so that you can incorporate the same ideas and conversations into life home. Programming does a good job of showing value to the individual self as well as community, and the fun you can have with others, arts, food, nature, etc.

  Shadow Rock is a place where everyone is truly welcome. The've got a wonderful community of folks, with activities that will inspire and motivate.

  Shadow Rock has been a great experience for my sons. They have learned to love going to school and have made great friends. They have a wonderful foundation of learning and skills that will carry them into success in school. The school teaches through play rather than trying to force academics through rote memorization. If the child wants to start reading and writing there is plenty of encouragement and opportunity to develop those skills, but they don't try to make children do things they don't want to do.

  Shadow Rock is a truly wonderful place. By engaging the children (ages 2- PreK) through play, children leave SR confident, socialized and in love with learning so that they are fully prepared for the academics of elementary school. The teachers are wonderfully devoted and the units and projects they do with the children are incredibly fun and inventive. The directors know each family by name, adding to the sense of warmth and community. It will be a sad day when my last little one moves on from Shadow Rock.
